Conical Mandrel Bend Tester ISO 6860

Standards
GB/T 11185, ISO 6860

The conical mandrel bending tester is designed in accordance with the requirements of GB/T 11185 and ISO6860-84 to evaluate the crack resistance or resistance of the coating of paint, varnish or related products when bent around a tapered shaft under standard conditions. The instrument allows the coating to be stretched under different diameters through a variable cone diameter, and can accurately evaluate the adhesion performance of the coating film.

Specifications
Cone dia.: 3.1-38mm
Platen size: 200mm
Overall size: 300×120×340mm
Net weight: 10kg

Operation Steps
Carefully cover the surface of the paint film with paper, clamp it between the conical shaft and the operating rod, and clamp the fixed plate.
Use the manual lever to bend the test plate along the conical axis
Bend the sample 180 degrees with uniform force within 15 seconds
Remove the paper and check where the paint film is cracked
Record the location of the crack and measure the distance from the crack to the smallest side of the bending shaft diameter
The extension value of the paint film can be judged in the calibration curve
